Golf Life Ladies gearing up for another year as "the social golf league"

In partnership with the Newnan Country Club golf course and the Newnan-Coweta Chamber, Golf Life Ladies is gearing up for the third season of the women’s golf league. Golf Life Ladies is also known as "The Social Golf League," where women can learn and grow new relationships all while learning the game. League members get to choose from clinic taught by a golf pro or 9-hole play; after golf, networking takes place.

"We are ready to welcome last year’s league members back and looking forward to bringing new members into our golf family," said Samantha Brazie, co-founder of Golf Life Ladies. “Kim Melhouse-Guerra and I are very excited about the results of last year’s season. Not only were we able to connect many women to the game of golf, but also we were ecstatic to be the first ladies golf league in the area to give back to a cause.” Last year’s season wrapped up with an end-of-year tournament that benefited a local nonprofit, Southeastern Assistance in Healthcare. Over the past two years, Golf Life Ladies has donated almost $15,000 to the local community.

The Golf Life Ladies league is open to any ladies who would like to develop new local connections while learning the game of golf. Membership in the league includes access to a private golf club, along with affordable and fun organized golf opportunities. Because of its partnership with the Newnan Country Club, the league is not exclusive to NCC members. To join Golf Life Ladies, email Kim and Samantha at golflifeladies@gmail.com before April 1, 2016. March Madness membership campaign now under way!

The cowbells and cellphones have all been ringing at the Newnan Utilities Wahoo Creek Administration Building, where Jimmy Cusano of Your Chamber Connection is leading our March Madness membership campaign!

Cusano led The Chamber's highly successful 2014 membership campaign, and this year he has returned to again help grow our Chamber membership. A motivational speaker and humorist, Cusano wears a colorful zoot suit each day and tells Chamber volunteers how to take advantage of Coweta’s great reputation to encourage others to join The Chamber. Above all, he emphasizes the most important factor in bringing in a new Chamber member, “Close the deal,” and volunteers get to ring a cowbell every time they bring in a new Chamber member.

Thanks to all those who are working so hard on this event! In just a few days, we look forward to sharing the results of another successful membership campaign!
