This event will be held at Junction Lanes Family Entertainment Center, 141 Newnan Station Dr., Newnan. Registration is at 3pm, bowling begins at 3:30pm, and we'll have our monthly Business-After-Hours networking event at 5:30pm.

Senoia to welcome new city manager, host Historic Project Open House
On Thursday, June 29, we'll be celebrating along with the City of Senoia at their Senoia Meet and Greet for their new city manager, Harold Simmons, and their Historic Project Open House. The Historic Senoia Project is a downtown redevelopment initiative within the Historic District of the City of Senoia. This latest addition of period buildings features 15 new shops, 10 lofts and one restaurant.

Next Safety Council meeting is June 20 at The Summit
The Coweta County Safety Council will hold its next monthly meeting on June 20, 2017 from 3-5 p.m. at The Summit in Newnan. This group, formed under the auspices of our Chamber, is open to any safety-conscious businesses in Coweta, and there is no cost to attend.
The Safety Council provides guidance and training to businesses in Coweta County. It is comprised of safety professionals who desire to share their collective knowledge to help local industry comply with OSHA regulations and ultimately keep the Coweta County workforce healthy and safe. Gathering monthly, the group hears from experts who help them learn how to improve in such areas as emergency preparedness, workplace ergonomics, OSHA regulations and hot weather safety.
At a recent meeting, Tomas Motiejunas of Orizon IPE, above, gave a regulatory compliance update. Motiejunas and his twin brother, Jonas Motiejunas, operate Orizon IPE, a full-service consulting company specializing in environmental health and safety. The Coweta County Safety Council meets monthly at The Summit in Newnan. Friday is RSVP deadline for our June 21 "State of Commerce/Retail" Lunch!
Friday is the deadline to register for next week's "State of Commerce/Retail" Lunch being held at Ashley Park. Continuing with our popular “State of Community” Lunch Series launched last year, our “State of Commerce/Retail” Lunch will be Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the former Jos. A. Bank store at 376 Newnan Crossing Bypass in Ashley Park.
A panel discussion will be moderated by Assistant City Manager Hasco Craver of the City of Newnan, and the speakers will include Ashley Park General Manager Mark Curran, Senior Project Manager Retail-Commercial Guy (Mill) Graves with Electric Cities of Georgia, Senoia Downtown Development Authority Chairman Suzanne Helfman and Main Street Newnan Manager Courtney Harcourt.

YPs will host Summer Swing Crazy Golf Par-tee this Friday at White Oak
Our Young Professionals are gearing up for a day of team building, networking, and playing a round of Crazy Golf, a fun twist on the traditional game, this Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Summer Swing Crazy Golf Par-Tee. This event is sponsored by Cargill and will be held at White Oak Golf Club, 14 Clubview Dr., Newnan.
The Summer Swing Crazy Golf Par-Tee at White Oak begins with registration at 2:30pm, and a shotgun start is at 3pm. The YPs will enjoy Cocktails and Connections from 5-7pm.
No golf experience is necessary, but golf attire is required. Registration fee is $45 for singles and $180 for a team of four. The fee includes hors d’oeuvres, all golf fees and three drink tickets. Georgia Chamber to host regional lunch on June 13
On Tuesday, June 13, 2017, the Georgia Chamber will host its "Georgia 2030 2.0" Regional Lunch at the Zac Brown Camp Southern Ground Dining Hall, 382 Ebenezer Church Rd., Fayetteville. The event begins at 11:30am with networking followed by the noon program. There is no cost to attend, but reservations are required.
The Georgia Chamber's 2030 2.0 regional presentation provides county specific data, current and projected, covering everything from poverty to employment and specific industry sectors. The presentation shares strategies for making sure Georgia's projections don't become our reality and encourages collaboration on region-specific strategies and ideas for our community to work together on solutions.
