"College for a Day" is August 14 at UWG's Newnan campus

You can be among the first to learn at the University of West Georgia's Newnan campus with a day of lectures for just $25 on Friday, August 14, 2015, from 9am - 3pm!

The UWG-Newnan College for a Day is part of a four-day celebration marking the transformation of the historic Newnan Hospital into a mecca for learning in downtown Newnan. Sessions will begin at 9am and continue until 3pm at the UWG Newnan campus at 80 Jackson St. in Newnan. Registration includes refreshment breaks. Attendees are encouraged to enjoy Newnan's many nearby downtown restaurants during the lunch hour.

Twenty-four of the University of West Georgia's most dynamic and esteemed faculty will present 45-minute lectures over a 6-hour period on topics ranging from cyberbullying to online marketing to modern meditation. For $25, you can attend up to five lectures (one each hour) and also get a very cool firsthand look at the incredible facility (do you know anyone who was born there?). Registration is open to all citizens and friends in the Coweta community and beyond but is limited to 225 participants.

You may preregister through August 1, 2015.  But be quick since space is limited.  Register online at: collegeforaday.westga.edu or purchase tickets at the Newnan Center on Jackson Street through August 1. The cost is $25 and includes five lectures, two refreshment breaks, and a certificate.
